BEAUTIFUL HAIR & THE POWER OF RITUALS

When I was travelling in India I noticed the beautiful hair of Indian woman –black, long, lustrous  and strong. The secret of their hair is oils and henna. In Indian family woman pass over traditional hair rituals from generation to generation. They learn at family home how to take care for hair, how to oil them and which natural ingredients to use. They start oiling hair at early age being a baby, also men oil hair as well. Indian woman treat oiling as a ritual. They do it usually in the evening and prepare mix of specially sellected natural oils, strenghtened by amla juice and extracts of brahmi and shikakai. Woman in one family make head massage one another. Residuals of oils they rub in their hair. This is a family and friends time and they spend it together, chating and laughing.  As oils protect hair against harmful sun radiation and against air polussion Indian women use coconut oil obligatory for kids’s hair when they go outside. Intrigued by deep black colour also of men hair I discovered another sicret ritual – henna. But this is a long story for another post so I will share with you my observations soon.
